Sergelen Dambadarjaa (Mongolia) has over 40 years of experience in international development, primarily with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Her career with UNDP spans headquarters, regional, and country-level roles, providing advisory, oversight, and quality assurance support to senior leadership and Country Offices across the Arab States and the Asia-Pacific region. Her work has included designing and operationalizing regional hubs, conducting financial sustainability diagnostics, managing audit follow-up, and supporting complex operational and strategic decision-making.
She has a proven ability to deliver rapid diagnostics, practical solutions, and change management support across diverse, high-risk environments. Her areas of specialization include financial sustainability, programme governance, results-based management and budgeting (RBM/RBB), audit and risk management, and institutional effectiveness. She has a deep understanding of UNDP policies and business processes.
She is fluent in English and conversational in Russian. Having lived and worked in multiple countries, she is highly comfortable working across cultures. She holds an MBA from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in the United States.
